What We Do

Our community-based organization utilizes an innovative approach in helping unemployed and under-employed individuals in search of job placement opportunities. While we can assist applicants with their career search, we also help to get training in their preferred field of work. We do everything we can to help apllicants become even more marketable. Let us help you get ready for the future that you want to build for yourself! Our services are funded through the Lower Chattahoochee Workforce Development Board (LCWDB).

Georgia Job T.I.P.S. (Training Innovations and Placement Services) Inc. is a non-profit, grassroots organization founded to engage in education, training, job placement, and career development. GJT is located in Columbus, Georgia and servicing the surrounding areas. This community service organization utilizes an innovative approach to encourage and promote the welfare of women and men through education, workshops, and structured activities.

Founded in 2000 by Willie Siders and Lorraine Cobb, the agency can offer these services by utilizing funding received through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Innovative and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Since its inception, GJT has provided assistance to thousands of individuals through a variety of specialized programs, of which includes: Incumbent Worker Training, Skills Shortage Demonstration Grants, Work Experience and OJT.
